We've arrived!

First things first: we went strait to Celina to see the house, which we had only seen once since its construction started.  Can you tell which is the "before" and which is the "after" photo?

Then we drove to Plano, where we are temporarily staying at an apartment in a very, very lively area called Legacy West (Dima is posing for a picture).

First full day of driving

Most of Friday we spent driving from Gilroy to Grand Canyon.

Time to hit the road

We were hoping to get on the road by around 2 PM to avoid the Bay Area traffic and get maybe to Bakersfield, but by the time we finished all the packing and cleaning the house it was 5 PM, so we decided to wait out the traffic and eat one last meal at home in the back yard.

We got on the road around 6:30 and made it only as far as Gilroy where we spent the first night.

We used two PODS (16 x 8 x 8) to pack the entire house, but we also sold and donated a lot furniture and stuff we didn't want to bring with us.
